HISTORY
The Winnipeg Construction Association was founded in 1904 as the Winnipeg Builders Exchange. The primary purpose was the 'exchange' of construction information, plans, and to facilitate the tendering process. The name of the Association was revised in 1978 to reflect the changing role of the group; however the original focus of exchanging construction information remains a key membership service. The WCA is an incorporated non-profit trade association representing approximately 500 commercial contractors and suppliers throughout Manitoba.
