For the past year a group has been meeting to recommend changes to the wage schedules in the CIWA. This work has now concluded and the final report will be submitted to the Minister of Labour shortly. We expect that the report will be accepted without modification and put into regulation this Spring although we CAN NOT confirm the effective date. We are making the report available to members and we strongly suggest that you review the new wage schedules and be aware that these will become law at some point in the next several months. WCA will be monitoring this development very carefully and will report on the exact implementation schedule as soon as it is available.
