BUILDERS LIENS ACT
All construction projects in Manitoba have protection under this legislation. In Manitoba the Holdback rate is 7.5% and the Lien Holdback period is 40 days. But it is far more complex than that and we recommend that all firms involved in the construction industry, and having lien rights, obtain a copy of the Builders' Liens Act by following the links here OR by purchasing it from the Queens Printer, Province of Manitoba, in order to have available the specific wording of each section of the Act.
